Bedi's impressive background includes various technology leadership roles. Before joining �ļ�ֱ��, he was CIO & Head of BPO at DHL Global Forwarding Americas, where he led significant transformation digital initiatives focused on operational efficiencies, automation, and enhancing the customer experience. While at Ernst & Young Management Consulting, Bedi drove large systems implementations for several major organizations improving organizational performance, driving growth, and establishing market leadership.

In honor of World Water Day, �ļ�ֱ�� Worldwide (�ļ�ֱ��) and the Bruni Foundation today announced their partnership with charity: water to provide clean and safe water to those in need.

The theme of World Water Day 2023 is "Water for Life and Livelihoods," which helps highlight the importance of water for life, economic development, and the environment. The United Nations (UN) reports that 771 million people worldwide live without access to clean water, which is essential for the health and well-being of individuals and communities.

�ļ�ֱ��, the Bruni Foundation, and charity: water are committed to making a difference in the lives of those affected by the global water crisis. The first phase of the partnership will deploy a $100,200 gift from the Bruni Foundation, which will fully fund two clean and safe water projects in India and Mozambique.

In Mozambique, this partnership will fund new community wells and handpumps across provinces in the Northeast of Mozambique and provide access to clean and safe water for more than 800 people. In India, the funds will support rainwater harvesting in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan, Western India, helping to provide clean and safe water access to over 250 people.

These initiatives will make a tangible impact in the lives of those in the local communities where the projects are being funded and are just the first step in the commitment to the cause.

What is your role at �ļ�ֱ�� Worldwide Sweden?��

For the past five years, I have worked as an Ocean Export Specialist at the Helsingborg branch in Sweden. As an LCL expert, I focus on service from Gothenburg to Charleston. This includes container planning, maintaining contact with the shipping lines, issuing required documents for shipping goods to the US, and keeping in close contact with my �ļ�ֱ�� Charleston colleagues.

What is the advantage of having LCL service from Gothenburg in Sweden to Charleston in the US?��

The reason why we’ve chosen to ship from Gothenburg port in Sweden is because it is the largest port in the Nordics. There we have a contracted and reliable terminal and it’s well located for goods from both northern and southern Sweden.��

And why do we ship to Charleston in the US?��

�ļ�ֱ�� in Charleston has its own terminal, which means that we have control over the cargo operations there, and with Charleston is ideally located for moving goods to their final destinations.

What are the benefits of an LCL service between Gothenburg and Charleston?��

With this service not only is �ļ�ֱ�� able to provide efficient transit times between Gothenburg and Charleston but we also maintain control of the goods from sender to recipient. At the same time we provide a good rate overview because we collect the goods.��

Has shipping goods from the Nordics to the US changed after the Pandemic and if so, how?��

I feel the interest in shipping goods to the US has increased since the Pandemic as we are seeing more demand for shipping services.��

What challenges have you experienced after the Pandemic?��

The after effect of the Pandemic and the concern that prevails globally at the moment means that there is still a risk of shipping line changing sailing schedules with short notice.

What is important to think about when shipping goods to the US?��

Since the US has special requirements for sending goods there, it is important that you, as an exporter, have extra control over delivery conditions, what broker you choose, and who does the ISF filing. Everything must be in place before the goods are shipped; otherwise, there may be hefty fines at the destination, which could have been avoided.

What do you like about your job, and what do you find most rewarding?

No day is alike – that's something I find attractive about my job. I have been in the business for 35 years now. I love what I do and enjoy working with my nice colleagues across Sweden and the US.

It is gratifying to find the best solutions for our customers and to experience that the customer is satisfied.����

Thorsten Mock, also one of the founders of �ļ�ֱ�� Projects, previously held the role of Regional Manager �ļ�ֱ�� Projects Germany, Japan, and Korea and will now be the Global Managing Director of �ļ�ֱ�� Projects. Thorsten stepped into his new role on January 1st, 2023.

Additionally, we are pleased to share that Boris Rüdiger will succeed Thorsten Mock in the position of Regional Manager �ļ�ֱ�� Projects, Germany, Japan, and Korea. Boris brings to his new role over 20 years of experience in the project logistics industry along with expertise in the chartering business and other activities.

�ļ�ֱ�� Worldwide has commenced operations in a new Pharma and Healthcare dedicated warehouse in Singapore to further expand its offerings to customers in the industry. The facility is certified to both GDP standards and has Singapore's Health Sciences Authority's GDPMDS certification.����

The newly constructed state-of-the-art warehouse was designed for pharma products and medical devices from inception. Therefore, there is a 1290 m² CRT(controlled room temperature) spread across two chambers maintained at +15 to+25°C. Additionally, inside the facility are three Cold rooms totaling 260 m². These rooms are designed to handle temperature requirements of +2 to +8°C. There is also the capability to handle ambient and deep frozen (-20°C) storage.��

As a dedicated Pharma & Healthcare facility, there is the ability to perform a range of value-added services from secondary repackaging and relabeling to last-mile delivery. Furthermore, the facility is strategically located within 45 minutes of both airport and seaports, allowing for quick access, thus acting as both a local distribution point and a Regional Distribution Centre for the area.��

Bjoern has been in the logistics industry for over 25 years. He began his apprenticeship in Germany, then moved to the United States in 2003. Before joining �ļ�ֱ�� in 2016, he worked in various roles within the logistics industry, including: Operations, Tender, Key Account, and Trade Lane.

Upon joining �ļ�ֱ��, Bjoern took on the role of Trade Lane Director for Germany/EMEA and supported the Automotive Vertical for NORAM. In 2021 he moved into the Account Management Regional Director Role, where he was an invaluable member of the team helping to set up the new structure and program deliverables.

In his new role, Bjoern will continue to drive �ļ�ֱ��’ account management to provide best-in-class customer service and solution-driven relationship management.

Mario Tenebruso��has been promoted to Vice President, Sales & Marketing for the Americas Region. Mario joined �ļ�ֱ�� as the Vice President of Air Product for the Americas in June 2019 and has been instrumental in guiding the region through the Pandemic. Throughout his career, Mario worked on assignments in Munich, Milan, Los Angeles, and New York before moving to Atlanta 7 Years ago.

Ken Leith��has taken on the role of Director, Account Management for the Americas. Ken joins �ļ�ֱ�� Americas with over 20 years of logistics experience - covering commercial leadership, operational management, and country-level P&L experience. In his new role, he will lead the Regional Account Management Team to drive GP and volume within the Americas region and oversee program-specific developments and enhancements for the area as part of the continued expansion of the global program.��

Michele Petitte��has been appointed Head of Account Management North America. Michele has been with �ļ�ֱ�� since early 2017. During her tenure with �ļ�ֱ��, Michele has shown a consistent drive for quality and success at both operational and commercial levels. In her new position, her primary focus will be coaching and training teams and helping support their drive for customer excellence and business growth.

Robin Finke��has been appointed Vice President, Ocean Product for the Americas Region. Robin has been with �ļ�ֱ�� since 2017, serving as Head of Ocean Product for �ļ�ֱ�� USA, and is highly familiar with �ļ�ֱ��' strategy and procedures. In his new role, he will continue leading the USA Ocean team and will represent the Americas Region in the World Ocean Team (WOT).

The �ļ�ֱ�� Worldwide Ocean Freight team is pleased to share Jesper Jepsen has been promoted to Vice President, Global Ocean Freight Operations.

Jesper joined �ļ�ֱ�� in 2019 as Head of LCL & Consolidation Services as part of the USA team. In 2021 he joined the Americas Region as Ocean Services Director.

In his new role, Jesper will focus on leading the collaboration efforts connecting global product and operations, working closely with neighboring internal departments and outside vendors. Furthermore, in his position, he will lead the strategic, operational management roadmap for Ocean Freight Hubs and Capacity Management Teams.

Photovoltaic modules provide a sustainable energy source for powering aircraft. The team, with the support of the �ļ�ֱ�� Logistics Agent in Fortaleza, began moving the modules in November 2022 and has since cleared over half of the shipment.

In total, there will be 57 shipments (615 containers), totaling 10,421 pallets of solar panels destined for new solar plants in the state of Ceará. ��

Brazil added more than 9 GW of solar power in 2022, which is the best year in the history of the sector, with a growth of more than 80% compared to 2021. Today, Ceará is the second largest energy producer in Brazil.

�ļ�ֱ�� Worldwide is pleased to announce that Shawn Shackelford has been appointed Vice President Global Customer Solutions, globally leading the �ļ�ֱ�� Customer Solutions group. With a strong technical background coupled with excellent customer interaction abilities and collaborative leadership skills, Shawn previously led �ļ�ֱ�� Customer Solutions for the Americas region.

�ļ�ֱ�� Customer Solutions enables the �ļ�ֱ�� sales and account management teams to expand their relationship with existing customers, as well as bring on new clients who require sophisticated supply chain solutions across all modes of transportation including customs clearance and contract logistics.

Shawn will lead the direction and strategy of all regional and subsidiary customer solutions functions within �ļ�ֱ��, reporting directly to David Bang, Chief Commercial Officer.

Wing has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He brings with him over 20 years of experience in Logistics and Freight Forwarding, along with extensive knowledge of the High Tech industry.

Starting as a Duty Manager for cargo at Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS), he progressed to Marketing Manager – Ground Handling before joining DGF as Trade Lane Manager for Austria, Switzerland, and Iberia markets. He then moved on to Damco as Global Head of Pricing – Air Freight Centre (including a 3-year stint in Copenhagen), followed by CEVA Logistics, first as Head of Field Sales and Route Development, and then as Head of Program Management – SEA Cluster. His last stop before �ļ�ֱ�� was at Nippon Express as Regional Account Manager for large MNC accounts.

Since joining �ļ�ֱ�� in 2014, Yong has been instrumental in developing Strategic Accounts in the High Tech and Aerospace verticals in Asia and globally.

In his new role, Yong’s focus will shift to Program Management, leading a team of ten National Account Managers (NAMs) across nine countries (AU, ID, KR, JP, MY, SG, TH, TW, VN). The Asia NAMs will functionally report to Yong and directly report to the respective National Sales Managers (NSMs).

Yong will be responsible for implementing program methods, tools, and scalable solutions to support the commercial strategy within Asia by driving accountability for the effective management of our client’s business. In addition, he will lead, develop and coach a team of high-performing account managers that fully understand the accounts’ business strategies/objectives while continually focusing on providing solutions to achieving goals and mitigating risks/constraints.

�ļ�ֱ�� is pleased to announce that as of January 3rd, 2023, Patrick Senn has joined �ļ�ֱ�� as the VP of Airfreight for APAC based in Singapore.

Patrick brings over 20 years of industry experience with him, having started his apprenticeship in Switzerland specializing in Freight Forwarding in 1999.

After many years in Switzerland, Patrick had the opportunity to move to Hong Kong, where he worked for seven years in various managerial roles, followed by four years in Vietnam as the Head of Air Freight – South East Asia for DB Schenker. During his time in Asia, Patrick has developed a solid affinity with Asian culture and a strong network across the air freight industry.

In his new position, Patrick reports directly to Tomas Sonntag, Regional Executive Vice President, APAC and with a dotted line to Gregor Vrhunc, EVP Global Head Air Freight, as the newest member of the World Airfreight Team (WAT).
